How many of your customers have recently asked for a wine with a 90+ rating? Most Resellers get that question every single day (p.s. we also get asked that question.)
That’s why we’re excited to say that LibDib now has more than 200, 90+ point wines available on our online platform.
Any restaurant, bar or retailer looking to stock up on fine wines can quickly and easily find the right products through our wholesale alcohol platform. How does it work? If you don’t have an account, just sign up (no cost or obligation to join). Once you sign in you buy online and the wines are delivered to your business. It’s that easy! What’s more? LibDib doesn’t have any minimums so you buy only what you need (many of our high-end wine buyers love and appreciate this!) Keep in mind that we are a compliant, 3-tier distributor so only licensed Resellers (not consumers) can purchase from our platform.
Luckily with LibDib it’s easy to search by ratings. Just use the scroll bar to choose your rating of choice (Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Robert Parker, etc.) and your desired point range. The LibDIb platform will automatically choose products that fit your needs by narrowing down the choices.
So, if you’re a retailer or restauranteur in the market for 90+ wines, here’s a quick summary of the highest-rated red wines this wholesale alcohol distributor is now carrying.
LibDib’s 90+ Point Red Wine Offerings - November 2019
Wine Distributor's Pick: Eu Family Estate, Chateau Calvimont 2015 Graves Rouge, Bordeaux, France
Rating: 94/Gold Medal, The Beverage Testing Institute - Tastings.com
Description: This wine is produced in Cérons; one of the smallest and oldest appellations in Bordeaux. The estate is made up of 26 hectares of vines planted on a gravel plateau with limestone subsoil. Tastings.com says, “Dusty garnet color. Fruity aromas of cranberry orange scone, candied strawberries, leather, and red cassis with a round, lively, fruity medium-to-full body and a smooth, nuanced, long chocolate licorice, espresso, sarsaparilla, ripe cherries, cured pork, and cinnamon finish with earthy tannins and moderate oak flavor. A ready-to-drink Graves that will be even more delightful after cellaring.”
Wine Distributor's Pick: Helen & Joey Estate, 2018 Layla Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia
Rating: 92, JamesSuckling.com
Description: James Suckling has this to say about this fabulous wine: “A juicy and fruity red with dried-plum and strawberry character, as well as cream. Medium to full body, round tannins and a savory finish. Drink now. Screw cap." Ruby garnet in colour. On the nose, the wine is all about fresh strawberry, cherry and raspberry with a hint of toast and clove spice from the oak. The palate is well balanced, showing bright red fruits with creamy oak notes subtly sitting around the wine and seamlessly integrating with the fruit. Tannins are silky smooth and weave the palate together producing a wine that is fruit forward, complex and long.
Wine Distributor's Pick: Hertelendy Vineyards, 2014 Hertelendy Vineyards Signature Mountain Blend, Napa Valley, California
Description: Hertelendy’s Signature Napa Valley Red Blend has a limited-production of 388 cases. This wine represents the essence of Hertelendy winemaking with great purity, balance and finesse. The foundation of Hertelendy’s Signature Napa Valley Red Blend is sourced from their Rockwell Ridge Estate Vineyard on Howell Mountain (23 year old vines at 1365 feet elevation). On this steep rugged terrain overlooking the Napa Valley, these mature vines grow in thin tuffaceous volcanic soil, expressing the richness, complexity, and character from this unique terroir. Aged for 23 months in 90% new French oak. They take a Right Bank Bordeaux stylistic approach with their wines that creates a concentrated and elegant blend that satisfies the senses with its poise, divinity and depth. 82% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot.
Wine Distributor's Pick: Robert John Vineyards, 2016 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, California
Rating: 94 Wine Enthusiast
Description: As Virgine Boone of Wine Enthusiast says, “This is a reserve wine worthy of its designation, blended with small amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot. Soft layers of red currant and cassis highlight a full-bodied palate of integrated tannin and oak, offering plenty of length and expanse as dots of clove and cedar form.” Aged for 28 months in new French oak barrels, this wine consists of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec & 2% Petit Verdot.
Wine Distributor's Pick: PR Selections, 2014 SUZANNE Garnacha, Rioja, Spain
Rating: 91 Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate // 92 JamesSuckiling.com
Description: This expressive red delivers black cherry, cola, mineral and espresso flavors in a round, plush texture, supported by polished tannins that add just a delightful floral and exotically spiced edge, and touch of creaminess. In the mouth it has dramatic dark plum, damson and blueberry intensity, all smoothed by the coffeeish background of oak and wonderfully supple and creamy tannins. Briary, cherryish acidity completes a totally convincing picture of a terrific wine, and hugely impressive contemporary take on Rioja.
Rating: 94 Wine Enthusiast - Editors Choice
Description: Only 99 cases are produced of this small production wine. Paul Gregutt of Wine Enthusiast has this to say, “This vineyard, often featured in the Sineann lineup, moves over to WildAire for this sensational debut. The blend is a two-clone mix of 777 and Pommard, and it captures a range of delicate, well-defined flavors. Raspberry, cherry, light char, smoke, pepper, bitter herb, vanilla and chamomile tea come rolling through. The prime location, which borders on Jadot's Résonance vineyard, contributes a great deal, but the winemaking brings it on home.”
